I am here to talk to you about a negative edge swimming pool remodel.  The clients only about a year and half ago built the pool initially.  They tried to find someone to create a natural environment, but had to give up hope because they were told they couldn’t have exactly what they wanted. They got their one wish and their negative edge pool was built.  The only thing is the designer of the original negative edge pool didn’t think about matching the color of the pool with the water that it appears to be flowing into.  Therefore, part of the redesign of this negative edge pool was to do a dark crystal stone interior finish.  This interior finish helped the water inside the pool to match the water in the ocean behind it.  Also, all they were looking at was some concrete columns and a small negative edge into the bay behind.  This view didn’t create any kind of atmosphere.   What we’ve done here is we’ve framed the view with two beautiful natural rock waterfalls.  We also created the negative edge where the water matches perfectly with the water color of the bay.  Now it appears it is all one complete body of water framed by two beautiful mountain streams come down into the lagoon pool.  This was a really exciting job to see the transformation happen.

Another thing that really affected the view of the effect of the negative edge was they had it all cut up with the screen cage.  To correct this, we raised the horizontal bar that has to be there up above your view so you don’t see it. The vertical bar was placed on top of the horizontal bar, whereas before it came all the way down and split your view in half.  Before it didn’t look natural at all because what kind of body of water has a piece of aluminum sticking right up through it.  Now you have this perfect picture frame, framing the view, and it’s just a much nicer effect.

Most people come home and they feel stressed out and they just look forward to that one vacation they get a year.  Well not my clients, my clients come home every day to get that daily relaxation, and now they love coming home.  In fact, they say when they go on vacation, they can’t wait to get home because nothing is like having a Lucas Lagoon.  Lucas Lagoons are custom built to what you want and what you need for yourself, your family, and your friends.
